The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Melilla's (11-14) road loss to eleventh ranked Caceres (13-13) 75-79 on Sunday. Guard Manuel Rodriguez (192-1991) stepped up and scored 18 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners and Cameroonian forward Benoit Mbala (200-1995) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Montenegrin guard Nikola Rakocevic (191-1991) responded with 18 points and Senegalese forward Mouhamed Barro (204-1995) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Four Melilla players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Caceres moved-up to ninth place. Melilla lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Caceres will meet league's second-placed Estudiantes in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Melilla will play against Valladolid (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
