Second Stage Round 3: Akademik P. - Levski 77-89

The most interesting game of round 3 was a derby match between two teams from Bulgaria. The game took place in Plovdiv where Levski won against host Akademik P. (0-4) 89-77. Levski made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-1990, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. American point guard Adonte Parker (186-1989, college: Dayton) helped adding 20 points and 7 assists. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was American guard Daishon Knight (185-1991, college: Illinois St., agency: BIG) with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Vasil Bachev (195-1992, college: Cuesta JC) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Akademik P.'s coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Levski are looking forward to face Prishtina (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Akademik P. will play against Galil Elion in Kfar Blum and hopes to get finally their first victory.
