Very expected game when 8th ranked Lyon (4-8) was edged at home by second ranked Poitiers (9-3) 67-66 on Tuesday. Poitiers forced 22 Lyon turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-1988, college: Colorado) who added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side center Bastien Albert (201-1994) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Theo Rey (194-2000) scored 10 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Poitiers keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Vitre. Lyon lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Poitiers will meet at home STB Le Havre (#4) in the next round.
