Second Stage Round 5: Challans - GET Vosges 111-79

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Vendee Challans (6-3) crushed at home 7th ranked GET Vosges (1-8) 111-79 on Friday. Vendee Challans dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to GET Vosges' 44. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by GET Vosges' players. Point guard Thibault Desseignet (178-1998) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists for the winning side and Serbian-Montenegrin center Nemanja Kovanusic (204-1993) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Vendee Challans' coach Joachim Duthe felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Issa Boutinane (204-1999) came up with 15 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Ludovic Martel (208-2000) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for GET Vosges in the defeat. Vendee Challans maintains third place with 6-3 record having nine points less than leader Kaysersberg. GET Vosges lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with eight games lost. Vendee Challans will meet league's leader Kaysersberg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. GET Vosges will play against JSA Bordeaux (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
