Regular Season Round 25: Aix-Maurienne - ASA 88-82

Rather expected game when 14th ranked ASA (10-15) lost to twelfth ranked Aix-Maurienne (12-13) in Aix-les-Bains 82-88 on Friday. Aix-Maurienne made 16-of-16 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Guard Lucas Beaufort (192-2002) nailed 24 points and 7 assists for the winning side and American point guard Chaz Williams (175-1991, college: UMass, agency: BIG) accounted for 20 points (made all of his eight free throws). Five Aix-Maurienne players scored in double figures. American point guard Marquis Wright (185-1995, college: Siena) came up with 21 points and 6 assists and power forward Jerome Cazenobe (204-1989) added 15 points and 10 rebounds respectively for ASA in the defeat. Aix-Maurienne moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Saint Vallier and Lille. Newly promoted ASA dropped to the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Aix-Maurienne will meet Denain Voltaire (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. ASA will play against Lille Metropole and hope to secure a win.
