Very important is a home loss of second ranked Poitiers (9-4) against fourth ranked STB Le Havre (7-6) on Saturday night. Host Poitiers was defeated by STB Le Havre in Poitiers 102-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Poitiers. STB Le Havre looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Oumarou Sylla (185-1992) nailed 17 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side and American forward Paul Carter (203-1987, college: UIC) accounted for 21 points and 8 rebounds. Four STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-1988, college: Colorado) came up with 26 points and 5 rebounds and Croatian Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Poitiers in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. STB Le Havre moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Poitiers keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Cergy-Pontoise. STB Le Havre will meet at home Lorient (#4) in the next round. Poitiers will play against C'Chartres and hope to secure a win and be promoted back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
