Regular Season Round 20: SKM I - RasKKSC 73-71

Eighth-ranked RasKKSC (7-12) made lots of trouble for second ranked SKM I (17-5) in Vilniaus on Sunday. SKM I managed to secure only two-point victory 73-71. However their fans expected much easier game. RasKKSC trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 26-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-73 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Gediminas Alisas (196-2004) who scored 20 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Paulius Velutis (188-2004) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. SKM I's coach Algirdas Milonas used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Tauras Karabinas (190-2005) produced 23 points and swingman Nojus Vaivada (192-2004) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four RasKKSC players scored in double figures. SKM I maintains second position with 17-5 record having just three point less than leader VKKM. RasKKSC at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. SKM I are looking forward to face Tornado KM (#4) in Kaunas in the next round. RasKKSC will play at home against ASRC (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
