No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Craiova (16-8) smashed at home 9th ranked Steaua B. (11-15) 102-67 on Sunday. The game without a history. Craiova led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Craiova outrebounded Steaua B. 44-24 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Josh Hawley (201-1996, college: Tarleton St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds and the other American import guard Michael Qualls (197-1994, college: Arkansas, agency: Inception Sports) who added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Craiova players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center Terrell Carter II (208-1996, college: Fresno St., agency: Haylett Sports) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian swingman Davor Konjevic (198-1990, agency: BIG) scored 9 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Craiova moved-up to fourth place. Loser Steaua B. dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
