Semi-Finals Game 3: Armann - Hamar 78-47
Date: March 28, 2022
Armann topped Hamar to gain 2-1 advantage. The game was mostly controlled by Armann. Hamar was better in fourth quarter 21-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Hamar to just 1 points in second quarter and to 8 points in first half. They outrebounded Hamar 51-37 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a quality performance for American forward Schekinah Bimpa (175-1998, college: Limestone) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Jonina Karlsdottir (166-1999) accounted for 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Bimpa is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Armann's coach felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Polish forward Julia Demirer (187-1981, college: Emmanuel, GA) came up with 6 points and 12 rebounds and swingman Hildur Gunnsteinsdottir (176-2005) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Hamar in the defeat.
