Rather predictable result when sixteenth ranked MLP Academics Heidelberg (9-16) beat at home bottom-ranked Skyliners (6-20) 71-65 on Tuesday. The game was dominated by American players. It was a great evening for guard Jordan Geist (188-1997, college: Missouri, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points. Guard Robert Lowery (188-1987, college: Dayton) helped adding 17 points. Four MLP Academics Heidelberg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was center Jamel McLean (202-1988, college: Xavier) with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Rasheed Moore (198-1995, college: ESU) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. MLP Academics Heidelberg moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with Braunschweig. Loser Skyliners stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. MLP Academics Heidelberg will meet at home 46ers (#17) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Skyliners will play against Brose Bamberg and hope to secure a win.
