The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Njardvik as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Njardvik defeated 3rd ranked Keflavik at home 98-93. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Keflavik won third quarter 24-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Njardvik looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-1994, college: CSUB) who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. Greek Fotios Lampropoulos (206-1983) contributed with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Lithuanian center Dominykas Milka (203-1992, college: St.Rose, NY) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and Slovenian forward Jaka Brodnik (203-1992) added 24 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Keflavik. Four Njardvik and five Keflavik players scored in double figures. Njardvik have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Thor Thorl. Keflavik at the other side keeps the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with Tindastoll and Valur.
