The game was mostly controlled by Kouvottaret. Tapiolan Honka managed to win fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kouvottaret looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Tapiolan Honka's players. Canadian forward Rashida Timbilla (185-1992, college: UMass) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Henriikka Vahauski (185-2002) contributed with 25 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Kouvottaret's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Carmen Tyson-Thomas (175-1991, college: Syracuse) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds and the former international center Elsa Lemmila (196-2005) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Tapiolan Honka.
