The game was mostly controlled by Marsky Helsinki. Vimpelin Veto was better in second period 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Marsky Helsinki dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Vimpelin Veto's 16. Marsky Helsinki forced 23 Vimpelin Veto turnovers. International forward Henna Sandvik (183-2003) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Kati Ollilainen (173-2003) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Guard Anni Kujala (165-1993) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and American swingman Shay Burnett (175-1996, college: Elon) scored 8 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
