There was no surprise when 7th ranked Grindavik (11-11) lost at home to second ranked Thor Thorl (17-5) 105-93 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Thor Thorl. Grindavik managed to win third quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Thor Thorl shot the lights out from three sinking 22 long-distance shots on high 64.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The former international guard David Agustsson (194-1996) notched 23 points to lead the effort and American point guard Glynn Watson Jr (185-1997, college: Nebraska) supported him with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Thor Thorl players scored in double figures. Thor Thorl's coach Larus Jonsson used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
