An interesting game took place in Gries where higher ranked Lille Metropole (12-14) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked ASA (11-15) 76-71 on Friday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Marquis Wright (185-1995, college: Siena) who scored 20 points. Lithuanian point guard Dovydas Redikas (193-1992) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Nigerian forward Christian Nwogbo (200-1991, college: Cedarville) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and center Thomas Hieu-Courtois (200-1995) added 10 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. ASA moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Nantes. Loser Lille Metropole keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Aix-Maurienne. ASA will meet higher ranked ADA Blois (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
