Regular Season Round 26: Chalon - St-Chamond 86-87

The most exciting game of round 26 in the ProB took place in Chalon. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of second-ranked Chalon/Saor (17-9) to first ranked Saint Chamond (20-6) 87-86 on Friday evening. Saint Chamond looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American-Nigerian guard Michael Oguine (188-1996, college: Montana) scored 19 points to lead the charge for the winners and Jonathan Hoyaux (194-1988) chipped in 20 points during the contest. Center Mathis Dossou-Yovo (205-2000) responded with 16 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Antoine Eito (188-1988) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Saint Chamond and five Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Chalon/Saor's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Saint Chamond have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-6 record. Chalon/Saor at the other side dropped to the third place with nine games lost. Saint Chamond are looking forward to face Saint Vallier (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Chalon/Saor will play against Quimper UJAP (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
