Regular Season Round 27: Breogan - Burgos 105-96
Date: April 3, 2022
Not a big story in a game in Lugo where 14th ranked Burgos (8-17) was defeated by ninth ranked Breogan (13-11) 105-96 on Sunday. Breogan outrebounded Burgos 33-22 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Canadian guard Trae Bell-Haynes (188-1995, college: Vermont, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Bosnian swingman Dzanan Musa (205-1999, agency: BeoBasket) helped adding 20 points and 7 rebounds. Five Breogan players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Jarell Eddie (201-1991, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Octagon Europe) with 22 points and Brazilian Vitor Benite (194-1990, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Breogan moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gran Canaria. Loser Burgos dropped to the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Zaragoza. Breogan will meet higher ranked Tenerife (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Burgos will play against Baskonia (#7) and hope to secure a win.
