Kataja was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 27-21 charge of Kouvot, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Isiah Osborne (196-1996, college: Carleton) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. The former international center Hannes Polla (211-1998, college: UT Martin) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Kouvot players scored in double figures. American forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (198-1991, college: Temple) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Nick Griffin (188-1995, college: St.Peter's) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Kataja.
