Very expected game in Sofia where 7th ranked Akademik P. (9-13) was defeated by third ranked Levski (16-7) 76-70 on Tuesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. 27 personal fouls committed by Akademik P. helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Mario Little (198-1987, college: Kansas, agency: BIG) scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Adonte Parker (186-1989, college: Dayton) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists during the contest. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Levski players scored in double figures. American guard Daishon Knight (185-1991, college: Illinois St., agency: BIG) responded with 18 points and 4 assists and forward Nikolay Nikolov (196-1994) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds. Akademik P.'s coach Jordan Yankov rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Levski have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 16-7 record having five points less than leader Rilski. Akademik P. at the other side keeps the seventh place with 13 games lost. Levski are looking forward to face Yambol (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Akademik P. will play against Cherno More and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
