Semi-Finals Game 3: Hottur - Fjolnir 105-88

Hottur cruised past Fjolnir to sweep the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Hottur. Fjolnir was better in fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hottur dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Fjolnir's 40. They outrebounded Fjolnir 47-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Hottur players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Fjolnir's players. It was a quality performance for American guard Tim Guers (190-1996, college: St.Anselm) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Spanish forward David Guardia (200-1990) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Hottur's coach Einar Johannsson used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward DJ Foreman (203-1994, college: St.Louis) came up with 21 points and 8 rebounds and guard Brynjar Gunnarsson (186-2005) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Fjolnir in the defeat. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures.
