Semi-Finals Game 2: HBA-Marsky - PeKa 60-88

PeKa outgunned HBA-Marsky to take 2-0 lead in the series. Marsky Helsinki was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Peli-Karhut dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Marsky Helsinki's 22. Peli-Karhut forced 19 Marsky Helsinki turnovers and outrebounded them 47-31 including a 36-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Peli-Karhut players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Marsky Helsinki's players. American swingman Naomi Davenport (180, college: WVU) had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Austrian-Ukrainian guard Inga Orekhova (188-1989, college: S.Florida) chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five Peli-Karhut players scored in double figures. Peli-Karhut's coach felt very confident using 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. International forward Henna Sandvik (183-2003) responded with 13 points and the former international guard Elina Aarnisalo (176-2005) scored 10 points.
