The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 22-12. But KTP Basket won second period 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Seagulls won last quarter 23-17. They made 17-of-19 charity shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Lassi Nikkarinen (187-1997, college: Montana St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 17 points. The former international Petteri Koponen (194-1988) helped adding 17 points. Seagulls' coach Jussi Laakso allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Remu Raitanen (206-1997, college: USF, agency: Blacktop Management) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward Urald King (198-1990, college: SE Oklahoma) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds.
