Regular Season Round 28: St-Quentin - Tours 81-76

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Tours (12-15) lost on the road to fifth ranked Saint-Quentin (16-11) 81-76 on Friday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The winners were led by Spanish-Venezuelan swingman Jhornan Zamora (196-1989) who scored that evening 17 points and 6 rebounds and British forward Deane Williams (203-1996, college: Augusta, agency: Interperformances) supported him with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin's coach Julien Mahe used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even a double-double of 20 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists by Jamaican Tyran De Lattibeaudiere (201-1991, college: Lamar) did not help to save the game for Tours. American guard James Batemon (185-1997, college: LMU) added 21 points for lost side. Saint-Quentin maintains fifth position with 16-11 record. Newly promoted Tours dropped to the twelfth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with Denain and Quimper. Saint-Quentin will meet league's second-placed Sluc Nancy on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tours will play against Lille Metropole (#15) and hope to secure a win.
