Regular Season Round 28: ASA - Antibes 75-64

Date: April 8, 2022
There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked ASA (13-15) beat higher ranked Olympique Antibes (15-13) in Gries 75-64 on Friday. ASA forced 19 Olympique Antibes turnovers. The winners were led by American point guard Marquis Wright (185-1995, college: Siena) who scored that evening 16 points and 4 assists and American-Nigerian Obi Enechionyia (208-1995, college: Temple) supported him with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 13 points and 8 rebounds by American-Nigerian center Temidayo Yussuf (201-1996, college: LBSU) did not help to save the game for Olympique Antibes. American-Italian swingman Timothy Derksen (192-1993, college: USF) added 11 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ASA have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Aix-Maurienne and Saint Vallier. Olympique Antibes at the other side keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. ASA will meet at home Boulazac Basket (#17) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olympique Antibes will play against JA Vichy (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
