Very important is a road loss of third ranked Vendee Challans (6-5) against fourth ranked CFBB (6-5) on Friday night. Visiting Vendee Challans was defeated by CFBB in a tough game in Paris 66-71. CFBB outrebounded Vendee Challans 46-32 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Noah Penda (199-2005) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Rayan Rupert (196-2004) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds. Even 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists by point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-1990) did not help to save the game for Vendee Challans. American guard Jordan Barham (194-1994, college: Davidson) added 13 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. CFBB moved-up to third place, which they share with Challans and Avignon/Pontet. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
