Regular Season Round 28: La Flecha - La Antigua 66-78

There was no surprise in Arroyo Encomienda where 10th ranked La Flecha (12-16) was defeated by first ranked La Antigua (26-3) 78-66 on Saturday. La Antigua outrebounded La Flecha 43-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Nigerian-American guard Rob Ukawuba (191-1994, college: NJIT) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Kupaa Harrison (196-1997, college: Hawaii-Hilo) who added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four La Antigua players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Hector Parras (198-1989) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and guard Eduardo Castano (186-2000) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. La Antigua maintains first position in Group A-B with 26-3 record. Loser La Flecha dropped to the eleventh place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Betanzos and Culleredo. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
