Regular Season Round 27: Strasbourg - Dijon 82-60
Date: April 9, 2022
There was no surprise when 8th ranked JDA Dijon (14-12) was crushed on the road by sixth ranked SIG Strasbourg (16-11) 82-60 on Saturday. SIG Strasbourg made 30-of-35 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game, while JDA Dijon only scored nine points from the stripe. It was a great evening for American guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-1989, college: Fort Lewis, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points. Swingman Gaylor Curier (197-1992) helped adding 18 points. The best for the losing side was American power forward Gavin Ware (206-1993, college: MSU) with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import Rashard Kelly (203-1995, college: Wichita St.) scored 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Limoges CSP. JDA Dijon lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 12 games lost. SIG Strasbourg will meet higher ranked Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. JDA Dijon will play against the league's second-placed Monaco (#2) and hope to secure a win.
