Kouvot rallied past ToPo to secure 2-0 advantage. The game was mostly controlled by Kouvottaret. Torpan Pojat managed to win fourth quarter 20-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Canadian forward Rashida Timbilla (185-1992, college: UMass) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals. American guard Taeler Deer (165-1996, college: Texas St.) contributed with 11 points and 8 assists for the winners. Kouvottaret's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Gabriella Bronson (178-1993, college: UW-Parkside) replied with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international center Taru Tuukkanen (192-1977, college: Xavier) added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Torpan Pojat.
