Regular Season Round 27: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Limoges CSP 66-69

The most exciting game of round 27 in the Betclic ELITE ProA took place in Pau. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Pau-Lacq-Orthez (16-10) to seventh ranked Limoges CSP Elite (16-11) 69-66 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Pau-Lacq-Orthez. The best player for the winners was Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (205-1988) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Latvian point guard Ingus Jakovics (186-1993) chipped in 17 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-1991, college: MSU Denver) who recorded 12 points and 5 assists and Zimbabwean power forward Vitalis Chikoko (208-1991, agency: LUMANI 10.7) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Limoges CSP Elite have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Strasbourg. Pau-Lacq-Orthez at the other side keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. Limoges CSP Elite is looking forward to face Le Mans (#7) at home in the next round. Pau-Lacq-Orthez will play against SIG Strasbourg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
