Schio dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to San Martino's 34. Schio forced 20 San Martino turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by San Martino's players. French center Sandrine Gruda (193-1987) stepped up and scored 26 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and international center Olbis Futo Andre (192-1998) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Schio players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Shae Kelley (185-1991, college: Minnesota) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Silvia Pastrello (180-2001) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. San Martino's coach Lorenzo Serventi gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win.
