Rather expected game when 10th ranked Besancon (5-12) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Toulouse (7-10) 106-82 on Tuesday. Toulouse made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Carl Ponsar (203-1997) who scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Victor Mopsus (179-1999) chipped in 3 points, 7 rebounds and 17 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Guillaume Valayer (201-1996) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Valentin Vitale-Boiteux (187-2001) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Four Toulouse and five Besancon players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Toulouse. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Mulhouse. Besancon lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Toulouse will meet league's leader SO Maritime Boulogne in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Besancon will play against the league's second-placed Vitre (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
