Second Stage Round 9: Tarbes-Lourdes - Pont-de-Cheruy 84-96

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked SOPCC (8-9) won against on the road 5th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (8-9) 96-84 on Tuesday. SOPCC made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was forward Lucas Thevenard (202-1998) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Damien Ebele (199-2000) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Kilian Incredule (175-1996) who recorded 21 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and center Jonathan Jeanne (218-1997, agency: Slash Sports) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SOPCC moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tarbes-Lourdes and Rueil. SOPCC will meet at home Les Sables (#9) in the next round. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Orchesien BC in Orchies and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
