Regular Season Round 29: Vichy Clermont - Nancy 73-74

Eighth-ranked JA Vichy (15-13) gave a tough game to second ranked Sluc Nancy (22-9). The visitors from Nancy managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JA Vichy. American guard Caleb Walker (194-1989, college: Nebraska) nailed 18 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winning side and Croatian forward David Skara (203-1995, college: Clemson) accounted for 14 points and 9 rebounds. Ivorian Cedric Bah (198-1994) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and Central African power forward Jimmy Djimrabaye (203-1992) added 14 points respectively for JA Vichy in the defeat. Four JA Vichy players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Sluc Nancy. They maintain second place with 22-9 record behind leader St-Chamond. JA Vichy at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Sluc Nancy will play against league's leader Saint Chamond on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. JA Vichy will play against SPO Rouen (#18) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
