The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked Treviso's (6-19) road victory over 13th ranked Vicenza (4-20) 64-59 on Wednesday. Croatian Klaudia Perisa (180-1996) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds for the winners and Cecilia Zagni (180-1995) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Treviso's coach Silvia Martinello used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side center Vanessa Sturma (185-1998) responded with 9 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian Gisel Villarruel (175-1994) scored 13 points. Newly promoted Treviso maintains twelfth place in A2 with 6-19 record. Loser Vicenza keeps the thirteenth position with 20 games lost. Treviso will meet higher ranked Ponzano (#7) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vicenza will play against Scrivia (#6) and hope to secure a win.
