Thor Thorl upset Grindavik on the road to ensure the Finals berth. Grindavik was trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 27-18 charge of Thor Thorl, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Glynn Watson Jr (185-1997, college: Nebraska) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Spanish-Argentinian guard Luciano Massarelli (183-1993) who added 17 points and 7 assists during the contest. At the losing side Spanish forward Ivan Aurrecoechea (203-1995, college: NM State) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and American guard EC Matthews (196-1994, college: URI, agency: Duran International) scored 25 points. Five Thor Thorl and four Grindavik players scored in double figures.
