Second Stage Round 10: Le Havre - Poitiers 105-79

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked STB Le Havre (10-8) smashed at home much higher ranked Poitiers (11-6) 105-79 on Friday. STB Le Havre forced 19 Poitiers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Poitiers' players. American forward Paul Carter (203-1987, college: UIC) fired 17 points for the winners. Bahamas forward Jaraun Burrows (203-1985, college: PFW) chipped in 19 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Five STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. Croatian Lovro Mazalin (204-1997) produced 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American swingman Marcus Relphorde (198-1988, college: Colorado) added 20 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. STB Le Havre moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Poitiers keeps the second position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
