Kauhajoki upset Seagulls to take 2-0 lead in the series. The game without a history. Kauhajoki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. 25 personal fouls committed by Seagulls helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Cameron Jones (193-1989, college: NAU, agency: BIG) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The other American import swingman Rene Rougeau (198-1986, college: UNLV, agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Jones is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kauhajoki players scored in double figures. American Joe Lawson (201-1992, college: Indianapolis) replied with 20 points and international Shawn Huff (198-1984, college: Valpo) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Seagulls. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
