Regular Season Round 29: Strasbourg - Levallois 87-81

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Metropolitans (21-8) on the court of sixth ranked SIG Strasbourg on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by SIG Strasbourg 87-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Metropolitans. SIG Strasbourg looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-1989, college: Fort Lewis, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 18 points for the winners and guard Jean-Baptiste Maille (190-1993) chipped in 7 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. SIG Strasbourg's coach Lassi Tuovi used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Will Cummings (188-1992, college: Temple) responded with 22 points and the other American import power forward Vincent Hunter (203-1994, college: UTEP) scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. SIG Strasbourg have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Limoges CSP. Metropolitans at the other side still keeps top position with eight games lost. They share it with Monaco. SIG Strasbourg is looking forward to face Entente Orleans 45 (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Metropolitans will play against Gravelines-Dunkerque (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
