Regular Season Round 30: Anadolu Efes - Bursaspor 88-85

Seventh-ranked Bursaspor (15-12) was very close to win a game against second ranked Efes (22-6) in Istanbul on Saturday. Efes managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bursaspor. Efes made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. It was a good game for international point guard Ahmet Tuncer (193-1993) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 5 assists. The former international Erten Gazi (190-1997, college: Fordham, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 14 points for the winners. American Andrew Andrews (188-1993, college: Washington) replied with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import David Dudzinski (205-1992, college: Holy Cross, agency: Inception Sports) added 17 points in the effort for Bursaspor. Four Bursaspor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Efes have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Fenerbahce. Bursaspor at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 12 games lost. Efes is looking forward to face Gaziantep (#4) on the road in the next round. Bursaspor will play against Afyon Bld (#16) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
