Very expected game in Giessen where 18th ranked 46ers (7-23) were defeated by thirteenth ranked Braunschweig (12-19) 82-66 on Wednesday. Braunschweig dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to 46ers' 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was Canadian power forward Owen Klassen (208-1991, college: Acadia, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The former international swingman David Kramer (196-1997) chipped in 14 points. American guard Kendale McCullum (194-1996, college: Lewis, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 19 points and his fellow American import forward JD Miller (203-1996, college: TCU) added 6 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Braunschweig moved-up to twelfth place. 46ers lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the seventeenth position with 23 games lost. Braunschweig will meet MBC (#16) in the next round. 46ers will play against Chemnitz and hope to secure a win.
