Everything went according to plan when twelfth ranked La Flecha (13-16) outplayed bottom-ranked Claret (0-30) in Segovia 81-51 on Saturday. La Flecha dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Claret's 28. They outrebounded Claret 51-40 including a 43-29 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Eduardo Castano (186-2000) notched 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and guard Millan Lopez (185-1994) supported him with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four La Flecha players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by point guard Pablo Lopez (172-2001) did not help to save the game for Claret. Diego Moreno added 2 points and 13 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. La Flecha moved-up to tenth place in Group A-B, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Claret still closes the standings with 30 games lost.
