Regular Season Round 30: Balkan - Levski 74-68

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Botevgrad. Second ranked Balkan faced one of their biggest challengers Levski. Host Balkan (21-6) defeated guests from Sofia (18-9) 74-68. Balkan dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Levski's 30. The best player for the winners was American point guard Ahmaad Rorie (184-1995, college: Montana) who scored 19 points and 6 rebounds. The other American import guard Derrick Marks (191-1993, college: Boise St.) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-1990, agency: BIG) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Chavdar Kostov (196-1988, agency: BIG) added 18 points respectively. Four Balkan and five Levski players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Balkan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 21-6 record having four points less than leader Rilski. Defending champion Levski keeps the third place with nine games lost.
