Regular Season Round 31: Vichy Clermont - Blois 78-86

No shocking result in a game when third ranked ADA Blois (19-13) beat on the road 7th ranked JA Vichy (16-15) 86-78 on Tuesday. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Thomas Cornely (190-1991) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 5 assists. American forward Tyren Johnson (201-1988, college: La-Lafayette) accounted for 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four ADA Blois players scored in double figures. American forward Dominez Burnett (196-1992, college: Davenport) came up with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Nigerien center Serge Mourtala (212-1998) added 12 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for JA Vichy in the defeat. Despite that victory ADA Blois went down to fifth position due to points difference. Loser JA Vichy dropped to the eighth place with 15 games lost. ADA Blois will meet Quimper UJAP (#11) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. JA Vichy will play against Saint-Quentin and hope to secure a win.
