Regular Season Round 24: PuHu - HNMKY 55-75

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Vantaa where 6th ranked PuHu (8-10) was rolled over by seventh ranked HNMKY (5-13) 75-55 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by HNMKY. PuHu managed to win third quarter 26-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding PuHu to just 5 points in first quarter. HNMKY had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Lenni Hervola (179-2003) who scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Center Roni Vuori (205-2002) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Joel Junttila (255-2002) who recorded 18 points and forward Rasmus Jaatinen (198-2004) added 15 points respectively. PuHu's coach Jani Salo rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. HNMKY maintains seventh position with 5-13 record, which they share with Kataja. Loser PuHu keeps the sixth place with ten games lost.
