Regular Season Round 31: Levallois - Nanterre 104-102

Ninth-ranked JSF Nanterre (16-15) was very close to win a game against first ranked Metropolitans (23-8) in Levallois on Friday. Metropolitans managed to secure only two-point victory 104-102. However their fans expected much easier game. Metropolitans made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for Metropolitans especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by JSF Nanterre helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Will Cummings (188-1992, college: Temple) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 assists. Keith Hornsby (192-1992, college: LSU) contributed with 24 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Metropolitans' coach Vincent Collet used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Chris Horton (202-1994, college: Austin Peay, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Jeremy Senglin (188-1995, college: Weber St.) added 19 points and 8 assists in the effort for JSF Nanterre. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Metropolitans maintains first place with 23-8 record, which they share with ASVEL. JSF Nanterre at the other side keeps the ninth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Cholet. Metropolitans is looking forward to face Cholet Basket (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JSF Nanterre will play against JDA Dijon and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
