The game without a history. TalTech led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. TalTech forced 20 Tallinna Kalev turnovers and outrebounded them 42-22 including a 28-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. TalTech shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 56.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tallinna Kalev's players. 24 personal fouls committed by Tallinna Kalev helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Oliver Metsalu (196-1993) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 9 rebounds. American point guard Brandon Childress (183-1997, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 7 points and 11 assists for the winners. TalTech's coach Alar Varrak felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward RJ McGhee (198-1991, college: Okla City) replied with 14 points and Latvian guard Eduards Hazners (193-1997) added 10 points in the effort for Tallinna Kalev.
