There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (13-18) lost on the road to fourteenth ranked Chorale de Roanne (12-19) 88-79 on Saturday. Chorale de Roanne made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. American players dominated also this game. It was an exceptional evening for forward Jakeenan Gant (203-1996, college: La-Lafayette) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Loren Jackson (173-1996, college: Akron) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Chorale de Roanne players scored in double figures. Guard John Jenkins (193-1991, college: Vanderbilt) came up with 22 points and 4 steals (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Jeremiah Hill (188-1995, college: Valdosta St.) added 18 points respectively for Gravelines-Dunkerque in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Chorale de Roanne moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Paris. Loser Gravelines-Dunkerque keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Chorale de Roanne will meet at home higher ranked SIG Strasbourg (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against the league's second-placed ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
