Quarter-Finals Round 2: Batumi - Vera 84-62
Date: May 2, 2022
The game without a history. Batumi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Vera's 20. Batumi looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Batumi made 8 blocks. American guard Kyle Riddley (192-1996, college: Pfeiffer) notched 17 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and international swingman Saba Lobjanidze (197-1993) supported him with 15 points and 5 assists. Even 16 points and 8 rebounds by power forward Vakhtang Kadaria (205-1989, college: Mineral Area) did not help to save the game for Vera. Guard Davit Tsivtsivadze (190-1997) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the guests. Four Vera players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
