Regular Season Round 32: Nancy - Rouen 98-93

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Sluc Nancy as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Sluc Nancy defeated 18th ranked SPO Rouen at home 98-93. Sluc Nancy made 24-of-30 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game, while SPO Rouen only scored six points from the stripe. Strangely SPO Rouen outrebounded Sluc Nancy 30-18. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. The winners were led by American guard Caleb Walker (194-1989, college: Nebraska) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds and Stephane Gombauld (205-1997) supported him with 24 points (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Even 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) by center Brice Dessert (207-2003) did not help to save the game for SPO Rouen. Point guard Lucas Bourhis (177-2000) added 17 points and 7 assists for the guests. Four SPO Rouen players scored in double figures. Sluc Nancy (25-9) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. As mentioned above they took over a top position. SPO Rouen lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 26 lost games. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when SPO Rouen faces Aix-Maurienne trying to get back on the winning streak. Sluc Nancy will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked ADA Blois on the road.
