Regular Season Round 32: Evreux - St-Chamond 79-78

There was a change at the ProB leadership position after last games. Round 32 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Saint Chamond (24-8). They were edged by third ranked ALM Evreux (20-12) 79-78 on Tuesday night. ALM Evreux looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Fabien Paschal (205-1991) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian guard Paolo Marinelli (191-1995) who added 11 points and 7 assists during the contest. Point guard Mathieu Guichard (187-1988) responded with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Hasan Varence (198-1997, college: Ohio Dominican, agency: Duran International) scored 17 points and 9 rebounds. Saint Chamond's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ALM Evreux have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 20-12 record having seven points less than leader Nancy, which they share with St-Quentin. Saint Chamond at the other side dropped to the second place with eight games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Nancy. Just two games before the end of Regular Season and it may be the most important game of the season next round when Saint Chamond faces JA Vichy trying to make it back to the top of the standings. ALM Evreux will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Saint-Quentin on the road.
